Procurement Manager

Responsible for purchasing raw materials for custom fabricated metal products manufacturing in the computer and defense industry.

Qualifications:

• Maintain, develop and implement purchasing order system, contract policies and procedures to maintain records of materials ordered and received.
• Prepares/reviews proposals, budget, bids, contracts, purchase orders, and other related reports and requisitions.
• Research and analyze vendors, equipment or supplies, quality, price, metal grade, availability, terms of sale and production capabilities of raw materials.
• Analyze price proposals, financial reports, contract terms, determination of metal substitutions and other data to negotiate and broker contracts.
• Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
• Perform price analysis, create purchasing models and review historic data, market information, applicable international shipping laws and procurement regulations to negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and clients.
• Manage manufacturing orders with Team Members, Manufacturing Engineers, and Commodity Team contributors.
• Maintain computerized data base; track cost, delivery, product performance and inventories; ensure compliance with manufacturing specifications and procedures.
• Resolve vendor/contractor problems and claims.
• Must have B.A. in Business Admin or foreign equivalent and 5 years experience.
